3-Day Wildebeest Migration from December to February
On this safari, you will be able to see the wildebeest migration in the southern part of the Serengeti (Ndutu). It's the calving season when thousands of wildebeest gather to give birth, benefitting from fresh grass. Predators like lions and cheetahs are abundant, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Lush green vegetation in December provides ideal grazing, and by February, the wildebeest begin their journey northward, starting their annual migration.
After breakfast, you'll proceed with a game drive safari in the Serengeti exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of large predators and the gentle herbivores, on which they feed. In the late afternoon, you will proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and an overnight stay. The word Serengeti stems from the Maasai language and means endless plains. Many predators roam these vast grasslands; over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! And of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you.

After a tasty breakfast, you'll collect picnic lunches. Today, you will visit one of the seven wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater, created when a huge volcano erupted two million years ago. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem; the crater has the highest concentration of animals anywhere in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to many lion families, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, and many more species. And nowhere else offers a chance as good as this to spot the rare black rhino. After a great day in Ngorongoro Crater, your driver-guide will transfer you to Arusha for drop off.
