andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge perches on the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world's most remarkable natural wonders. Within three intimate camps are thirty stilted suites built to fully embrace the panoramic views of the crater floor below, each handcrafted from mud and thatch with banana leaf ceilings and grass roofs.
Every suite is adorned with graceful antiques, grand chandeliers, and elegant African treasures. The bedroom, sitting room, and en-suite bathroom boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the crater. A personal butler discreetly caters to each guest's every need — bringing tea in bed, stoking fireplaces, and drawing luxurious bubble baths.
Note: The lodge is currently closed for an extensive rebuild and is scheduled to reopen in 2027 with a completely redefined luxury experience. Each camp features its own guest sitting and dining areas, viewing decks, and a domed dining room where crystal, silver, and massive wooden platters turn every meal into a special occasion.
