Babylon Lodge

Babylon Lodge, known as Serenity at Kilimanjaro, is a long standing lodge in Marangu on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, about five kilometres from the Marangu Gate. The 21 rooms are set within stone built buildings surrounded by mature tropical gardens, each with a cozy bed and private bathroom with hot and cold water. Guests gather in a shared lounge and bar, or dine at the on site restaurant serving African, Indian and grilled dishes, with vegetarian and dietary options on request. The lodge is a popular staging point for Kilimanjaro climbers on the Marangu and Rongai routes, and also serves travelers heading into the northern safari circuit.
