Laba Fanjove

Laba Fanjove has the whole of Fanjove Island to itself, the smallest of six islands making up the Songo Songo archipelago in the Mafia region of the Tanzanian coast. A handful of open sided beach villas sit steps from the sand beneath a nineteenth century German built lighthouse, with no other development on the island. The barefoot, castaway style camp is reached by boat and light aircraft and pairs well with a bush stay inland, offering snorkelling, diving, dhow sailing and turtle nesting on its beaches in season.
