Lobo Wildlife Lodge

Built directly into a volcanic kopje in the far north of the Serengeti, Lobo Wildlife Lodge is one of the ecosystem's original safari lodges and often the first stop for travelers crossing from the Maasai Mara. Its 75 rooms, from standard doubles and twins to interconnecting family rooms and two presidential suites, are finished in traditional African style. The pool is cut into the rock edge itself, looking straight out over the plains, and a waterhole below the lodge keeps wildlife in view through the day. Two bars, the Chui Restaurant, a library and a hot air balloon desk round out a lodge built for the heart of migration season.
