Malaika Mara River Luxury Camp

Malaika Mara River Luxury Camp sits in the northern Serengeti at Woga Seven, near the Kichwa Tembo junction and roughly 25 km from Kogatende airstrip. The camp opened on 13 September 2023 and looks out over open northern plains, set back from the Mara River corridor where the herds mass and cross. Despite being a permanent build, it keeps a seasonal window, opening July to October to coincide with the crossings. Twenty-eight tents come in two distinct architectural styles. The Luxury Tents are round, domed canvas structures with timber beds, carved headboards, and copper basins. The Scenic View Tents are a newer, angular design in pale canvas on raised timber decks and pole frames, with wide openings toward the plains. Both come in single, double, triple, and family layouts, and the camp states that all tents are wheelchair accessible. Public areas run to a lounge and bar under canvas, furnished in green and ochre, with a stretch-tent dining pavilion strung with lights for evening service. The kitchen keeps professional chefs who cater to most dietary requirements with prior notice, including gluten-free and vegan. The appeal is scale and access. At 28 tents it is larger and more sociable than many northern Serengeti camps, and the two tent styles let a single property suit solo travellers, couples, families, and groups within the same short crossing season.
