Maweninga Camp

Maweninga Camp is a solar-powered safari camp perched on top of an enormous rock (kopje) in Tarangire National Park, offering 16 spacious tents with spectacular panoramic views. The camp operates entirely on solar energy with rainwater harvesting supplying up to 50% of its annual water needs. Each tent sits on a raised wooden platform following the natural contours of the kopje, featuring an open terrace, a bedroom, and an alcove dressing room with en-suite bathroom including flush toilet, wash basin, and shower with 24-hour solar-heated hot water. Rooms are available in single, double, twin, and triple/family configurations. The main building features two restaurants, bars, fireplaces, and a terrace with spectacular views across Tarangire's iconic baobab-studded landscape. The camp serves both international and African-inspired cuisine. Free parking and airport transfers are available.
