Mbali Mbali Gombe

About this stay

Mbali Mbali Gombe Lodge is an intimate eco-lodge on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Gombe Stream National Park — made famous by Jane Goodall's pioneering chimpanzee research. The lodge features six forest tents raised on wooden decks at the edge of the forest canopy. Each tent features wooden furniture, a sitting area, private shaded veranda, en-suite bathroom with shower, mosquito nets, tea and coffee facilities, and power points for charging devices. Free WiFi, a library, and complimentary laundry service are provided. The lodge also offers a private beach area and swimming pool. Stays include accommodation, three daily meals with complimentary beverages, one chimpanzee trek per day, kayaking on Lake Tanganyika, and laundry. The lodge is powered by solar energy with careful attention to reducing its carbon footprint. Gombe's habituated chimpanzee community offers one of the world's most intimate primate encounters.
