Moyo Camp Hembe

Moyo Camp Hembe is the boutique member of the Moyo Tented Camp family, one of two the brand runs in the Central Serengeti. The camp's site was chosen for its commanding outlook across open plains, delivering both sunrise and sunset from the same vantage, and it sits strategically for guests linking the Central and Western Serengeti without long transfer days. Twelve spacious tented rooms make up the whole camp, configurable as doubles, twins, or triples. Each has an ensuite bathroom with flushing toilet, 24-hour hot shower and double wash basin, plus a private veranda on a raised wood platform with safari chairs. Tents carry a 2-way radio for round-the-clock contact with staff, universal power outlets, 24-hour electricity capable of running a CPAP machine, and an in-room safe. The deliberate small scale is the selling point. Moyo positions Hembe for families or groups of friends who want the camp to feel like theirs, with service tailored rather than processed. Arrival brings a traditional welcome and drink, and the team coordinates ballooning, walking safaris and other add-ons. Dining follows the brand's farm-to-table approach with locally sourced ingredients and menus adapted to allergies, vegetarian and vegan diets on notice. Wi-Fi is available in the common dining and lounge tent. Hembe is one of only two Moyo camps offering walking safaris, which run in Seronera at Hembe and Warangi only.
