About this stay
Set on the Njiwa special campsite deep inside Tarangire National Park, Nyikani Camp Tarangire puts you within a five minute drive of Kuro Airstrip and in the heart of the elephant country that the park is famous for. Thirteen canvas tents, 12 in king, twin or triple layouts and one family tent, are spaced 15 to 20 metres apart under acacia and baobab, each with a private veranda, a writing desk and a double basin en suite with a safari style bucket shower. Separate lounge and dining tents sit on recycled plastic decking and open onto the surrounding bush, and evenings usually finish around the campfire. The camp is full board, solar powered with a generator backup, grows produce on its own farm and furnishes the tents with pieces designed and made in Arusha. Days run on game drives in open vehicles, night drives and guided nature walks.
