Sweetwaters Serena Camp is arranged in a wide arc around its own floodlit waterhole on the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, so game viewing carries on from the verandah long after the vehicles are parked. The 56 tents are canvas under thatch on solid floors, split between the Standard Wing and the newer Morani Wing, and every one has an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi and a private balcony or veranda. Morani Wing tents look towards Mount Kenya and include a tent adapted for guests with mobility needs. The communal areas sit under high thatch: the Rhino Restaurant is glazed along one side so the waterhole is always in view, the Rhino Bar and its lounge run out onto a terrace, and a heated swimming pool is set in the lawns beyond. A meeting tent, an activity desk, a gift shop, a kiddies club and a spa treatment room round out the camp, and guided drives, walks, rhino tracking and night drives all leave from the gate.
