About this stay
Set in the farmland hills of Karatu on Tanzania's northern safari circuit, Turaco Ngorongoro Valley opened in 2025 as the first Tribute Portfolio lodge in the region. Its 37 suites, including three presidential suites, are built in the style of a traditional Maasai boma, with high ceilings, wood fireplaces and stone finishes. Guests can relax at the spa, swim in the heated outdoor pool, or take in views toward the Ngorongoro Crater, then dine on produce grown on the lodge's own farm. The lodge sits within easy reach of the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks, with airport transfers available from Arusha and Kilimanjaro.
