Tour Overview
Five days in Uganda's most spectacular wilderness. Extended game drives across both the Narus and Kidepo valleys, night drives for nocturnal predators, a walking safari with armed rangers, Karamojong cultural immersion, and the silence of a landscape so vast and empty it recalibrates your sense of scale.

Itinerary
Fly to Kidepo - Sunset Game Drive
Charter flight to Apoka. Check in to your lodge perched on a kopje with views that defy description — the Narus Valley spreading to infinity, mountains on every horizon. Late afternoon game drive as the light turns amber, targeting the Narus River area where elephants, buffalo, and waterbuck congregate. Watch the sun drop behind the Napore range, painting the sky in shades you didn't know existed.
Meal Plan:
BreakfastLunchDinnerFull-Day Narus Valley and Night Drive
Full day exploring the Narus Valley's vast grasslands. Morning predator search — lion prides, leopard on kopjes, the electric tension of a cheetah stalking. Afternoon waterholes and the unique species that make Kidepo special: ostrich striding across the plain, bat-eared foxes with their comically large ears, and if fortune smiles, the elusive striped hyena. After dinner, a night drive with a spotlight — aardwolf, aardvark, African wildcat, and the wide eyes of bushbabies clinging to acacia branches.
Meal Plan:
BreakfastLunchDinnerWalking Safari and Kidepo Valley
A guided walking safari with armed Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers — on foot, you notice what a vehicle obscures: tracks in the dust, dung beetles rolling their cargo, the alarm call of a francolin. The scale of the landscape on foot is humbling. Afternoon drive to the Kidepo Valley, the park's wilder northern sector. Search for greater kudu in the riverine bush and scan the Morungole Mountain slopes for signs of the IK people, one of Africa's smallest ethnic groups.
Meal Plan:
BreakfastLunchDinnerKaramojong Cultural Day and Afternoon Safari
Morning visit to a Karamojong manyatta. The Karamojong are one of East Africa's last semi-nomadic pastoral peoples. You sit with elders, watch the elaborate beadwork being made, and learn how cattle define every aspect of social life — wealth, marriage, status. The children are irrepressibly curious. The warmth is genuine. Afternoon game drive focusing on the areas you haven't covered — perhaps the Lotuke foothills or the seasonal Kannangorok hot springs, where warm water bubbles from the earth at the base of a mountain.
Meal Plan:
BreakfastLunchDinnerDawn Safari and Return to Entebbe
A final dawn drive through the Narus Valley. The light at this hour in Kidepo is the finest in East Africa — low, golden, illuminating every blade of grass and every animal in silhouette. A herd of zebra crosses the track. An elephant raises its trunk to test the morning air. A martial eagle circles on the first thermals. You file this landscape somewhere deep, knowing you'll come back. Transfer to Apoka airstrip for the flight home.
