Best Time to Visit Arusha National Park

Wildlife spotting is enjoyable year-round in Arusha National Park, but the dry months from June through October provide the best opportunities as animals gather near water sources and vegetation is less dense. The lush scenery during the wet season from November to May is impressive, although March and April tend to be wetter and gray. Clear skies from December to February offer stunning views of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro.

  • Early mornings and nights can be chilly.

Wet Season Highlights (November to May)

  • Scenery bursts with vibrant greenery.

  • Fewer visitors, especially in April and May when rates may be lower.
  • Birdwatching peaks with the arrival of migratory species.
