Dry Season (June to October)
This period brings mostly sunny, dry weather with very little rainfall. Dust increases as the season progresses, causing hazier skies. Afternoon temperatures in June, July, and August hover around 24°C (75°F) with cool nights dropping to about 14°C (57°F). In September and October, days become warmer, reaching up to 28°C (82°F), with the first rain showers usually arriving at October’s end.
Wet Season (November to May)
The wet season is split into two rain periods: short rains from November to December and long rains from March to May. Rain generally occurs in the afternoon and rarely lasts the whole day. Temperatures during this season average 28°C (82°F) by day and cooler at night around 17°C (63°F). January and February often see a dry spell between the two rainy periods. Cloudy skies and cold fronts bring colder temperatures, especially in April and May.
